- Wash your completed design and the item that
you are going to attach it to. Do not use fabric softner or any detergent
containing bleach. Leave to dry naturally.
-
- Before cutting out the design, draw a line
with a pernanent black laundry marker around the edge of the design
on the raised side, as close as you can to the blacked punched outline
(this is only done if you have outlined your design in black yarn).
It will give your design a neater looking edge.
-
- Turn your design over, (flat side up) and
cover just the outlined area with a generous amount of machine washable
glue. Make sure the glue is covering the perimeter of the outline
(this will stop the material from freying). Leave to dry.
-
- From the right side of the design (looped
side) cut as close to the punched outline as possible. Once the design
has been cut out, it is now ready to be appliqued either by sewing
or gluing onto the garment.
